Our story

Why we built wedoro

Our own wedding was the spec.

Not long ago, we were exactly where so many couples are right now: right in the middle of planning our own wedding. Full of excitement, with a thousand ideas in our heads, countless little decisions ahead of us, and one heartfelt wish: that our day would not just be beautiful, but truly feel like ours.

At first, we thought: surely the perfect software for this must already exist. A solution that can do everything. Guests, budget, tasks, vendors, schedules, seating, documents, inspiration, conversations, reminders. One place where everything comes together and planning feels less like administration and more like anticipation.

So we searched. We tried tools, apps, spreadsheets, checklists, and platforms. Some looked lovely, but only scratched the surface. Others offered many features, but felt complicated. Some only covered one small part of the planning process. In the end, we still had scattered lists, chats, files, screenshots, notes, and the feeling that we were spending more time organizing than enjoying.

And then, one evening, sitting together between the guest list, budget questions, and the next message to a vendor, we said the sentence that changed everything: Actually, we should build this ourselves.

We have been project managers and software developers for many years. We know how to make complex processes feel simple. At first, we built it just for ourselves. As our wedding came closer, uncertainty became overview, scattered messages became clarity, and planning became what it was meant to be all along: joyful anticipation.

After our wedding, we knew this solution should not stay only with us. Because every couple deserves planning that feels good, and every wedding planner deserves a tool that is professional enough for real client projects, yet still warm, understandable, and pleasant to use.

What comes next

wedoro grows with your feedback

We do not develop in isolation. The best ideas come from practice, from wedding planners and couples who are right in the middle of planning.

  1. 1

    Listen

We talk to wedding planners and couples all the time and listen to what gets in the way, what is missing and what works well.

  2. 2

    Weigh up

We discuss the most promising topics internally: does it fit wedoro, does it help many people, and can we solve it simply enough?

  3. 3

    Build

Whatever convinces us gets built and goes out to everyone. No surcharge, no forced update, simply there at your next login.

That makes wedoro a growing platform, one that lives on your feedback.

Got an idea or a question?

Then get in touch. Wishes, suggestions, criticism, all of it is welcome. We read every message ourselves and answer it ourselves too.

And if you already have an account, you will find “Feedback & ideas” right inside wedoro: in the user menu, on the dashboard and at the very bottom of the page.
